Loss Prevention Certification Board

The Loss Prevention Certification Board is a Technical Approvals issuing body offering approvals of products under the Building Regulations, Construction Products Directive and other European legislation. It is accredited by the United Kingdom Accreditation Service (UKAS) against the following standards: EN 45011 - product certification, EN 45012 - management systems certification and EN 45013 - personnel certification and it offers CE marking certification, approvals for ETAs and testing as aNotified Body. The LPCB tests and approves products against LPS 1175: ISSUE 5.1 Requirements and Testing Procedures for the LPCB Approval and Listing of Burglary Resistant Building Components, Strongpoints and Security Enclosures to evaluate the resistance to burglary offered by various physical security products. Tests on security products are carried out under laboratory conditions using different attack times and tools depending on the Security Rating Level that the product is suitable for, matching risk and result to tools and time.
